The first week in April, 2006, we went to Kansas City's Kauffman Stadium to see the
Royals play the 2005 World Series champs, the Chicago White Sox.

The following photos are from one of the many trips to St. Louis in 2004.
In August we returned to KC to see a three-game series between the Royals and the Twinkies.  Bill Fraser flew in from                                                                           Minnesota and we met with Gene Wright, a Lafayette shipmate whom I had not seen since 1969.
Back to KC in April, 2007 for one game against the Twinkies and two against the White Sox.  One of the hotel brochures described Kansas City as "The City oFountains", mapping out the location of the 32 fountains in the city.  We began our effort to photograph them all, and we now have pics of seven.
Above left, Ozzie Guillen, White Sox manager in the dugout;  above right,  Ana Maria got Ozzie's autograph.
Below are some shots from trips to Springfield, MO, to see the Springfield Cardinals play at Hammons Field.
Back to KC in July, '07 for two games against the Yankees and one against the Rangers.

In August, 2007, we went to see the 3-game series between the Braves and Cardinals at the new Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

I In September, 2007, we were back in Kansas City for two games with the Yankees and one with the lowly Twinkies, all of whom beat the Royals.
